Chicago Traxmen Let Me
With Baltimore Club dominating things right now people sometimes forget about all the other regional styles of club music from all over the US. Gheto Tech from Detroit, Snap and Bass music from New Orleans. Miami Bass from Florida and last but not least that xxx style of jackin house from Chi town. What ever you want to call it most people became familair with this sound from the label Dancemania and names such as Dj Funk and Paul Johnson. This track is from Strictly Hype Records. Produced by Eric Martin and co produced by Paul Johnson. The lyrics aren't for the faint hearted.

Blake Baxter When A Thought Becomes You
I've been listening to the new Morgan Geist album Detroit a lot lately. It had me diggin through the crates for other techno records that i had that had vocals on them. Blake Baxter The Prince of Techno is what i came up with. This was the 6th release for the classsic Detroit label Underground Resistance. This track came out in 1991 and still sounds fresh to this day.

Touch Energizer
Energizer, the name says it all really. Produced by Touch. A production team made up of Tony Valor and DJ Tom Moulton. This was the first 12" from the album of the same name that dropped on Brunswick Records in 1977. Its a great boogie number to keep the party on track.

Sexual Harrassment I Need A Freak
Another record picked up on my recent trip to NYC. From 1983 this is a bass classic and transcends genres so well. I first heard this track played by the Deep Space boys here in Sydney. Big Props to Patrick Haf, James Bond and the crew. who dosn't need a freak ?
